Sea Palms Resort seeks an experienced Sales Manager to lead a sales team and drive revenue through proactive direct sales, marketing, and client solicitation. You will define success, train staff, and guide the team to exceed departmental goals while maintaining exceptional guest relations.

Located on St. Simons Island, Sea Palms Resort offers a full-service restaurant, golf course, and a hospitality-forward culture.

Competenze

• Two years of hotel sales, catering management, or related hotel experience.
• Experience with Delphi FDC and proficiency in Microsoft 365.
• Experience with brand PMS and sales-related applications.
• Minimum high school diploma or GED; bachelor’s degree preferred.

Job Summary:

The Sales Manager is responsible to develop and foster business through pro-active direct sales, marketing, and solicitation for various or specific market segments.

Reports to:

Director of Sales

Essential Job Functions

• Develop, update, and achieve goals set on a timely basis.

• Meet company standards of 24 hours on response times to all lead sources including group banquets of 20 hotel rooms or less, golf groups of 20 rooms or less, food and beverage, catering only events and all other events as assigned by Director of Sales.

• Works with clients to coordinate bookings, creates banquet event orders and diagrams when necessary, and communicates event information to all operation teams.

• Is present for all meetings with current and potential clients, including scheduled meetings and walk-in tours, including weekends when necessary or requested.

• Presents all contracts,BEOs, and Booking Checks to be approved by DOS before sent to client.

• Collects final guest count seven days prior to event start date with signature from client.

• Collects final payment, excluding consumption items, seven days prior to event start date with signature from client.

• Update all information in Amadeus to present date. (Account status, deposits, payments, proposals sent, etc.)

• Completes all other items as assigned by your Director of Sales on a timely basis.

• Maintains an honest working relationship with all coworkers and clients.

• Responsible for ensuring guest services has all accommodations arranged prior to group arrival.

• Reviews all catering resumes for valet orders and amenity requests.

• Accomplish Sales Goals as outlined byRaines Hospitality.

• Performs weeklyBEO meetings with Managers and Banquet staff.

• Achieve budgeted group rooms revenue and profit.

Experience and Education:

Two years prior hotel sales, catering manager, or progressive experience in a hotel environment

Experience with Delphi FDC and proficient in Microsoft 365

Experience with brand's PMS and sales related applications

Minimum High school diploma, GED or equivalent

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related major preferred
