Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to maintain a clean, organized store with a customer-first focus. Responsibilities include assisting customers, operating a cash register, stocking, and implementing planograms, with leadership duties in the absence of the Store Manager.

The role requires high school diploma or equivalent and preferred supervisory experience. Candidates should be able to handle physical tasks, drive to bank deposits, and work in a fast-paced retail

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent recommended.
• Six months of supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow planograms and merchandise presentation guides.
• Strong math skills for basic calculations and percentages.
• Experience handling cash and operating a cash register.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize totals, collect payment, and bag merchandise.
• Receive, unpack, stock, rotate merchandise, and build displays.
• Keep the store clean and organized; handle waste and cleaning tasks.
• Assist in planogram implementation and maintenance.
• Open and close the store under direction of management.
• Perform duties in the absence of Store Manager or Assistant Manager.
