Job summary

Visionworks in Elgin, IL is seeking a Sr. Optical Specialist - Lead/Sales Lead to champion the customer journey in our store. You will apply optical knowledge to guide eyewear selections and ensure a seamless Visionworks experience for every patient.

You will drive daily sales, engage with customers, measure eyewear fits, and participate in restocking and merchandising to support store goals. ABO certification or 12 months optical experience preferred; HS diploma required.

Qualifications

• 12 months optical experience or ABO Certification in lieu of experience.
• Related customer or patient experience preferred.
• HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience.

Responsibilities

• Meet daily sales goals by delivering excellent customer/patient experiences.
• Engage with patients to recommend suitable eyewear and services.
• Measure patients for eyewear and maintain product knowledge for Right the First Time.
• Support store operations including restocking inventory, merchandising, and order fulfillment of eyewear to ship.

The Role

A Visionworks Sr. Optical Specialist - Lead/Sales Lead is the very face of our business and is dedicated to ensuring the best possible journey for every patient and customer. This person is trained and knowledgeable about optics, our products/servicesand managed vision care. The person takes the patient/customer through the Visionworks experience ensuring their eyewear needs are met in a simple,humanand bold way.

• Delivers daily sales goals by ensuring the best execution of the Customer/Patient Experience journey


• Engage with patients/customers and recommend products and services that meet their eye care needs


• Measure patients/customers for their eyewear andmaintainproduct/optical knowledge through cont. training and development to ensure eyewear isRight the First Time


• Executeday-to-dayoperational activities to support the store's financial and customer experience goals including restocking inventory, merchandising, and order fulfillment of eyewear to ship

Qualifications

• 12 months optical experience necessary (within Visionworks or otherorganization) orABO Certification in lieu of experience


• Related customer or patient experience preferred, but not necessary


• HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience
