Job summary

Visionworks in Illinois is seeking a Sr. Optical Specialist - Lead/Sales Lead, the face of our store, trained in optics and passionate about helping customers select eyewear and care services.

You will guide patients through the Visionworks experience with a warm, confident approach and ensure their eyewear needs are met with clarity and care. The role focuses on driving daily sales goals, engaging customers, and maintaining up-to-date product knowledge while supporting store operations such as

Qualifications

• 12 months optical experience or ABO Certification in lieu of experience
• Related customer or patient experience preferred
• HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience

Responsibilities

• Delivers daily sales goals by ensuring the best execution of the Customer/Patient Experience journey
• Engage with patients/customers and recommend products and services that meet their eye care needs
• Measure patients/customers for their eyewear and maintain product/optical knowledge through cont. training and development
• Execute day-to-day operational activities to support the store's financial and customer experience goals including restocking inventory, merchandising, and order fulfillment of eyewear to ship

The Role:

A Visionworks Sr. Optical Specialist - Lead/Sales Lead is the very face of our business and is dedicated to ensuring the best possible journey for every patient and customer. This person is trained and knowledgeable about optics, our products/servicesand managed vision care. The person takes the patient/customer through the Visionworks experience ensuring their eyewear needs are met in a simple,humanand bold way.

• 12 months optical experience necessary (within Visionworks or otherorganization) orABO Certification in lieu of experience
