Job summary

The Salvation Army in San Francisco’s Main Thrift Store is seeking a Sales Associate/Material Handler to join the Retail team. This role involves greeting customers, stocking merchandise, processing donations, and maintaining store standards.

The position requires a High School diploma or equivalent, ability to operate a POS, a background check, and effective communication with staff and donors.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Must be able to operate POS/Cash Register.
• Must pass background check, which will include Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, fellow store employees, customers and donors.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and donors and provide prompt, courteous assistance.
• Stock priced items on the sales floor in accordance with Salvation Army standards.
• Sort donations to be processed in accordance with Salvation Army standards.
