Job summary

The Salvation Army Orange County Santa Ana Store is seeking a friendly and reliable Sales Associate/Material Handler to support daily operations and donor interactions. You will greet customers, stock shelves, and help maintain a clean, organized store environment that reflects our mission to Do The Most Good.

Responsibilities include processing transactions at the POS, assisting donors with item removal, and ensuring safety and compliance across all store activities.

Qualifications

• POS/Cash Register operations and cash transactions handling.
• Effective communication with management, fellow employees, customers, and donors.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and donors warmly and provide prompt, courteous assistance.
• Stock priced items for easy shelving and merchandising.
• Keep store and donation areas clean, neat, and organized.
• Perform cleaning duties as assigned by Management.
• Follow POS/Cash Register Policies and TSA Procedures.
• Maintain safety and compliance standards.
• Attend Monthly Store Meetings.
• Receive, unload, and stock incoming inventory accurately.
• Inspect products for defects and damages for quality assurance.
• Assist donors with removal of donated items from vehicles and provide receipts.
• Sort donated materials into proper containers and stack as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
