Job summary

The Salvation Army Orange County is seeking a friendly Donation Attendant for the Buena Park Store. You will greet donors, stock merchandise, maintain a clean donation area, and help ensure a positive experience for customers and donors alike.

This full-time role requires a high school graduate, the ability to operate a POS system, and to pass a background check. You will join the Retail Team supporting the Adult Rehabilitation Program and Do The Most Good.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Must pass a background check, which will include Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, fellow store employees, customers, and donors.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers and donors warmly and provides prompt, courteous assistance.
• Stocking priced items ready for merchandising on the sales floor.
• Maintain store and donation area cleanliness and organization.
• Perform cleaning duties as directed by management.
• Follow POS/Cash Register policies in line with TSA procedures.
• Maintain safety and compliance standards.
• Attend monthly store meetings.
• Receive, unload, and stock incoming inventory accurately.
• Provide quality assurance by inspecting donated items for defects.
• Assist donors in unloading items from vehicles and issue receipts.
• Sort donated materials into proper containers and stack as instructed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
