Job summary

The Salvation Army Orange County is hiring a Sales Associate/Material Handler for the Huntington Beach store. You will greet customers and donors, stock and merchandize items, keep the sale floor clean, and assist with donation processing.

This part-time role requires a high school diploma, cash-handling ability, and the stamina to lift up to 50 lbs. The position offers PTO, employee discounts, and other benefits as part of TSA's commitment to Do The Most Good.

Qualifications

• POS/Cash register operations and cash transactions experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, coworkers, customers and donors.
• Comfort with standing for long periods and light lifting.
• Pass a background check including Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and donors and provide prompt, courteous assistance.
• Stock and merchandize items for the sales floor.
• Maintain the store and donation area to be clean, neat, and organized.
• Perform cleaning duties as assigned by Management.
• Follow POS/Cash Register policies and TSA procedures.
• Maintain safety and compliance standards.
• Attend monthly store meetings.
• Receive, unload and stock incoming inventory accurately.
• Inspect products for defects and damages to ensure quality.
