Job summary

The Salvation Army Southern California is seeking a Part-Time Sales Associate/Material Handler for our San Francisco thrift store. In this role you will greet customers and donors, operate the POS, stock merchandise, and sort donations in line with TSA standards to ensure a positive shopping and donor experience.

You will work closely with the Store Manager and team, perform cleaning and merchandising tasks, and help maintain a safe, welcoming store environment.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Must be able to operate POS/Cash Register.
• Must pass background check, which will include Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, fellow store employees, customers and donors.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and donors and provide prompt, courteous assistance.
• Stock priced items and merchandised on the sales floor per TSA standards.
• Sort donations according to Salvation Army guidelines.
