Job summary

Principal Financial Group invites students to join the Workplace Benefits Sales Internship Program for Summer 2027. As a sales intern, you’ll support the sales team, assist with projects, and collaborate with fellow interns across the organization to impact territory sales and business unit success.

You’ll work with underwriting, new business, marketing, and other teams to learn the ins and outs of our organization and build lasting professional relationships.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or completed undergraduate or graduate degree.
• Interest in a career in sales and customer interactions.
• Ability to communicate clearly with internal and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Provide sales support to the Workplace Benefits sales team.
• Assist with projects and coordinate with other interns.
• Collaborate with regional sales offices to learn distribution of group insurance.
• Partner with underwriting, marketing, and other areas to build relationships.
