Job summary

Principal Financial Group is offering a Summer 2027 Workplace Benefits Sales Internship. You will join the Workplace Benefits sales team to provide sales support, assist with projects, and collaborate with other interns across the organization.

This role helps you learn distribution and support for our group insurance customers and directly impacts territory sales. The position partners with underwriting, new business, marketing, administration, product, sales and compensation.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or completed undergraduate or graduate level degree.
• Interest in a career in sales.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
• Travel will be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide sales support for Principal’s Workplace Benefits Sales team.
• Assist with projects and collaborate with other interns across the organization.
• Support regional sales offices and learn how group insurance is distributed and supported.
• Contribute to territory sales and business unit success.
