Job summary

Principal Financial Group is offering a Summer 2027 Sales Internship Program in the Retirement & Income Solutions area. You will work full-time as a paid intern, supporting the retirement sales team with sales support, account management, and intermediary assistance.

Opportunities exist across Des Moines, Denver, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C. Ideal candidates are pursuing or have completed an undergraduate/graduate degree, with interest in sales and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or completed undergraduate or graduate degree.
• Involvement in extracurricular activities and/or involvement within the community
• Interest in a career in sales
• Preference will be given to students who have experience with sales either through a previous internship, involvement, or work experience.
• Ability to build positive relationships with internal and external partners.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Travel will be required

Responsibilities

• Provide sales support to Retirement sales team.
• Assist with account management and intermediary support.
• Support regional sales offices and learn distribution of retirement plan business.
• Develop professional skills in a sales-driven career.
