Job summary

Lowe’s Companies, Inc. is seeking a Sales Floor Department Supervisor in Centerville, IA. The role focuses on leading a team to deliver exceptional customer service, coaching associates, and ensuring store safety and merchandising standards.

The position requires standing, lifting and multiple shift availability, with potential opening/closing duties and MOD responsibilities as needed. This is a full-time, on-site role in a dynamic retail environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years of retail experience OR 5 years in retail.
• 1 year of customer service experience.
• 1 year of supporting Pro customers (Pro Department Supervisor).
• Experience providing direction or supervision to teams (with or without direct report responsibility).
• Experience supporting or participating in training, mentoring and developing associates.
• Experience working cross-functionally.
• Experience Using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach a team of associates to deliver the best possible customer experience in the store.
• Assist with down stocking, area recovery and input into merchandising decisions.
• Coach employees on safety and lifting techniques and monitor use of store power equipment.
• Oversee customer-facing and non-customer-facing activities and store safety.
• Occasionally open/close the store or serve as manager-on-duty (MOD).
