Job summary

Lowe's is seeking a Sales Floor Department Supervisor in Streetsboro, OH to lead a team in delivering outstanding customer service and operating a safe, well-stocked store. You will coach associates, manage daily tasks, and ensure department coverage while handling both customer-facing and back-end activities.

The role requires strong leadership, retail experience, and the ability to train and mentor staff, with occasional MOD responsibilities and potential travel for meetings or trainings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 3 years of retail experience, or 5 years in retail.
• 1 year of customer service experience.
• 1 year supporting Pro customers (Pro Department Supervisor).
• Experience directing or supervising teams (with or without direct report responsibility).
• Experience training, mentoring and developing associates.
• Experience working cross‑functionally.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law.

Responsibilities

• Lead and enable a team of associates to deliver the best possible customer experience in the store.
• Coach and train staff, delegating and following up on daily tasks; manage performance and coverage.
• Oversee customer-facing activities: greeting customers, clarifying needs, identifying solutions, closing sales.
• Oversee non-customer facing tasks: down stocking, inventory management, area recovery.
• Ensure store safety through walks, hazard reporting, and adherence to lifting directions.
• Occasionally open/close the store or serve as manager-on-duty (MOD).Travel for meetings or trainings may be required.
