Job summary

Memphis Goodwill Inc. in Millington, TN is hiring a Sales Floor Associate to greet customers, answer questions, and promote merchandise on the sales floor.

You will keep displays neat, rotate stock, restock, and maintain dressing rooms and cash wrap areas while following safety practices and loss-prevention procedures to help meet daily goals.

Attention to accuracy in counts, adherence to company policies, and teamwork with colleagues are essential to deliver excellent service and drive sales.

Qualifications

• Greet customers promptly and courteously; assist with inquiries and promote sales.
• Adhere to Goodwill’s Guiding Principles.
• Maintain counts and meet daily rack/cart goals (14 per day).
• Place and rotate apparel and merchandise on the floor.
• Keep floor and inventory clean and well displayed.
• Keep dressing rooms clean; manage hangers near cash wrap.
• Follow all policies and report safety hazards.
• Report theft incidents to management or Loss Prevention.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers in a prompt, friendly, and courteous manner; assist customers with merchandise inquiries, and promoting sales; while ensuring 100% customer satisfaction.
• Adheres to the use of Goodwill’s Guiding Principles.
• Ensures accurate counts; while achieving and exceeding the MGI production goals of (14) racks or carts per day.
• Places apparel, wares, shoes, accessories, etc., onto sales floor in correct location and rotates merchandise from sales floor as needed.
• Maintains sales floor and inventory in a clean, neat and properly displayed manner to maximize profits.
• Maintains dressing rooms free of dust, dirt, fallen merchandise, and clutter; removes hangers from cash wrap.
• Adheres to all MGI and personnel policies and procedures; follow good safety practices including reporting safety hazards.
• Reports all incidents of theft (both internal and external) to a management team member or Loss Prevention Manager.
