Job Description

The Sales Executive develops and executes sales and marketing strategies to attract new groups within the Blue Plan market to attain member growth. This position leads the pharmacy sales process including the RFP process, contract negotiations, site visits, and follow-up meetings.

The clients for this position are in Texas and Oklahoma, with a preference for someone living in either state.

Responsibilities
  • Work with the Assistant Vice Presidents, Employer Account Directors, and the sales team to drive joint ASO sales and member growth for Prime and the assigned Plan(s), including regaining lives that have been carved-out, winning new carve-in business, and assisting the account management team in retaining current business and identifying priority accounts while developing strategies to attain the business.
  • Lead/co-lead prospecting activities with employer groups and consultants, pipeline development/management, and post-bid discussions, maintaining reporting in Salesforce.
  • Forecast sales annually and quarterly, and meet quarterly sales requirements.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with the sales force and account management teams at Plan(s), maintaining accurate pipeline status and sales reporting/forecasting in CRM.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the company, products, services, market, competition, and opportunities; relay Prime's key messages to appropriate team members.
  • Educate client sales, marketing, and account management teams on industry topics, new product developments, and the competitive landscape; provide collateral materials and sales support.
  • Coordinate with the VP of Employer Group Sales to develop messaging, prospect development, and collateral needs from a sales perspective; relay Prime's messages to the Account Team.
  • Execute quarterly/bi-annual Go-to-Market meetings, review results, implement product and service changes, and provide market recommendations in collaboration with leadership.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in business or equivalent; HS diploma or GED required.
  • 10 years of operational knowledge of PBM organizations.
  • 5 years of PBM or related sales experience.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Additional Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of managed care organizations.
  • Ability to evaluate and create opportunities, develop effective sales messages, presentations, and proposals.
  • Excellent communication and relationship development skills.
  • Strong organizational, project, and time management skills.
  • MBA preferred.
  • Four years of implementation leadership within a PBM organization.
  • Experience selling to ASO Employer Groups.
Physical Demands
  • Travel up to 40%.

  • Frequently reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch.
  • Occasionally lift/move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required.

Potential pay ranges from $108,000 to $184,000 based on experience and skills.
