Job summary

IDEX Corp. is seeking a Sales Engineer to evaluate customer requirements and develop technical and commercial quotations. You will be the primary technical resource through the quotation process, ensuring alignment with manufacturing capabilities and business objectives.

The role supports new product introductions, liaises with the NPI team, and collaborates with document control to ensure accurate BOMs and drawings for quotes. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related engineering discipline preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 3–5 years in engineering, applications engineering, technical quoting, or related manufacturing experience.
• Experience supporting engineered-to-order manufacturing preferred.
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T, BOMs, and technical documentation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and timely technical and commercial quotations in response to RFQs and inquiries.
• Review drawings, specifications, BOMs, and docs to determine quotation requirements and manufacturability.
• Develop manufacturing assumptions, labor standards, and technical cost estimates for quotes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather technical, operational, testing, and commercial information for quotations.
• Serve as the primary technical resource during quotation processes with engineering guidance.
