Job summary

KARL STORZ North America in Houston, TX, is seeking a Sales Engineer, OR1 (Operating Room Integration) to lead technical sales for integrated OR solutions, including SCB and digital capture systems. You will engage hospitals and surgical teams to define requirements and present end-to-end operating room solutions.

This role requires 1–3 years in medical devices or healthcare IT, travel up to 80%, collaboration with IT and clinical teams, and ability to deliver cost estimates and support RFPs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree + 1–3 years of experience in medical device, B2B sales, or healthcare IT.
• Strong understanding of video endoscopy, AV systems, and hospital IT infrastructure.
• Exposure to OR environments and surgical workflows.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.
• Ability to travel extensively and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical sales presentations and demos.
• Collaborate with hospital IT and clinical teams to tailor solutions.
• Prepare cost estimates and define project scope.
• Support RFP/RFI responses and regional forecasting.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies.
