Job summary

KARL STORZ North America is seeking an Onsite Endoscopic Specialist (OES) to support advanced medical devices within a hospital setting. You will work with OR, SPD, and BioMed teams to ensure surgical readiness and equipment reliability, gaining exposure to cutting-edge medical technology and growth opportunities across the organization.

The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule, with compensation ranging from $19.28 to $28.19 per hour, at the MD Anderson Cancer Center location.

Qualifications

• Experience in sterile processing, surgical technology, healthcare support, medical device sales, or a related clinical environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and reporting tools.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support to OR, SPD, and BioMed teams, ensuring seamless use of KARL STORZ equipment.
• Set up and support video towers and integrated surgical systems used during procedures.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and coordinate replacement of instruments and equipment.
• Clean, transport, sterilize, and prepare surgical instruments for clinical use.
• Manage repair processes, equipment tracking, and service-related transactions.
• Resolve real-time equipment issues in the operating room to support successful patient procedures.

What You'll Do

What You Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in sterile processing, surgical technology, healthcare support, medical device sales, or a related clinical environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and reporting tools.
• Ability to meet physical requirements, including lifting up to 25 pounds.

Nice to Have

• Associate's degree.
• CRCST certification or interest in obtaining certification.
• Experience supporting surgical equipment, endoscopic systems, or medical devices.
