Job summary

Midwest Custom Engineering is seeking a hungry, technically sharp Sales Engineer with direct experience in hammer mills and dryers. This role focuses on selling American-built hammer mills, dryers, conveyors, and full process systems to food, feed, biomass, and related industries.

You will work with plant managers, project engineers, and owners to diagnose processing challenges and demonstrate profitable, engineered solutions.

Qualifications

• Direct hammer mill and/or dryer sales experience
• 2–5+ years in B2B industrial or equipment sales
• Comfortable selling technical solutions with variable pricing
• Strong mechanical intuition is a plus
• Willing to travel 20–30%

Responsibilities

• Prospect and qualify new leads across food, feed, and biomass industries
• Conduct discovery calls, site visits, and virtual walkthroughs
• Create and present technical proposals with support from engineering
• Close deals on custom systems, parts, and aftermarket service
• Maintain pipeline in CRM and hit or exceed targets
• Represent Midwest Custom Engineering at trade shows and client meetings
• Help shape marketing messages and customer education strategies
