Job summary

LINAK in Louisville, KY is seeking a Sales Engineer for the TECHLINE Midwest Region to support customers and the sales team with electromechanical solutions across agriculture, lawn and turf, and industrial automation. You will translate customer needs into complete actuator, control, and software offerings.

The role requires strong communication, project management, and a willingness to travel up to 14 weeks per year, including domestic and international trips.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
• 0–3 years in engineering, technical sales, applications engineering, automation, or related fields.
• Strong electromechanical aptitude and ability to understand mechanical systems, electrical controls, and automation.
• Experience or interest in agricultural, lawn & turf, mobile or industrial automation applications is desirable.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities.
• Comfortable interacting with customers in technical and commercial discussions.
• Willingness to travel up to 14 weeks annually, including domestic and international travel.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical resource for customers and the LINAK sales team.
• Understand customer requirements and specify actuator, control, and software solutions.
• Provide technical support for mechanical, electrical, electronic, and software systems.
• Develop quotations and manage pricing activities.
• Collaborate with Application Engineering on customer concerns and product specs.
• Support business development through lead qualification, market research, and trade show participation.
• Manage projects from concept through implementation.
• Identify and develop opportunities in agriculture, lawn & turf, industrial automation, and mobile equipment markets.
• Support sales and marketing initiatives to grow the TECHLINE business unit.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Business, or a related field
