Job summary

Motorola Solutions, via its Silvus Technologies subsidiary, seeks a Sales Engineer for the Department of War (DoW) to support pre- and post-sales activities and deliver tailored solutions for defense and public-safety customers.

The role involves close collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and Business Development, product demonstrations, and customer training. Up to 50% travel is expected; remote work may be possible depending on location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field with 2+ years pre- and post-sales tech support experience; or HS diploma with 6+ years experience.
• Proficiency with RF instruments such as signal generators and spectrum analyzers.
• Willingness to travel and work at customer sites.
• Security Clearance: Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months; U.S. Citizen due to contracts.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre- and post-sales technical support including system planning and customer training.
• Conduct product demonstrations and evaluations.
• Visit customer sites to deliver training and support.
• Troubleshoot field failures and communicate feedback to development.
• Assist design engineers in reproducing issues and supporting sales activities.
• Travel up to 50% for meetings, events, and demonstrations.
