Virginia Transformer Corporation, a leading distribution and power transformer manufacturer in the U.S., seeks a seasoned Sales Engineer for the Construction & Industrial market with a proven growth record.

The role is responsible for achieving sales goals, generating inquiries, securing orders, and maintaining margins aligned with company policies. Travel 40–50% is required as you expand market presence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering or technical field.
• 3+ years of technical sales in the C&I market, including metal and mining customers.
• Strong knowledge of medium/high voltage electrical equipment and transformers.
• Experience with channel partners (representatives, EPCs/contractors, distributors).
• Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Proven track record of growing assigned market segments year over year.
• Ability to travel 40-50% of the time.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Clearly articulate technical capabilities and give technical demonstrations.
• Partner with the sales team to generate leads.
• Find and maintain prospective clients.
• Provide general technical support to clients.
