Job summary

Virginia Transformer is seeking a seasoned Sales Engineer for the US utility market. This 100% remote role focuses on growing sales in the Western region, developing key accounts, and coordinating with engineers to deliver accurate quotes.

You will travel 40-50% when required, build strong channel partnerships, and drive order bookings while maintaining margins. A Bachelor's in engineering and 3+ years in technical sales are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering or a technical field.
• Minimum 3 years of technical sales experience in the utility market.
• Strong knowledge of medium/high voltage electrical equipment and transformers.
• Experience with channel partners (representatives, EPCs/distributors).
• Excellent written and verbal communication; proven growth of market segments.

Responsibilities

• Execute sales growth strategy for the utility market.
• Develop and strengthen key accounts and opportunity pipeline.
• Prepare accurate quotations with application engineers and respond quickly to inquiries.
• Meet or exceed sales goals for the assigned US utility market.
• Coordinate with sales network and project managers to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Travel 40-50% of the time; cover the Western US from home office.
