Job summary

Checkly is hiring a Sales Engineer to empower developers and agents to ensure application reliability—from PR to post-mortem. You’ll learn Checkly and the Monitoring space deeply and help customers solve reliability problems, while supporting evaluations and adoption with our sales team.

You will contribute to documentation, build tailored demo code, and articulate technical concepts clearly to customers, in an async, international environment with inclusive benefits and transparent compensation.

Qualifications

• Some professional experience in a technical, customer-adjacent role.
• Strong technical skills to read, write, and debug code (Javascript/Node.js preferred).
• Ability to use AI tools to accelerate customer-facing work (Claude Code, Codex, and similar).
• Genuine interest in working directly with customers and explaining technical concepts clearly.
• Excellent spoken and written English skills.
• Autonomous and self-motivated in an async environment while collaborating with colleagues.
• Located in the ET+/-1 time zones.

Responsibilities

• Learn Checkly and the Monitoring space deeply, then help customers solve reliability problems.
• Support prospects through technical evaluations with the sales team.
• Assist existing customers with technical questions, implementations, and adoption.
• Contribute to technical documentation and internal playbooks as you learn what works.
• Speak with customers directly and share learnings with Product and Engineering.
