Job summary

Clera, a fast-growing AI developer tools company, is hiring a Pre-Sales Deployed Engineer based in London. You'll be the technical heartbeat of the sales process — partnering closely with an Account Executive to win enterprise deals by running hands-on technical pilots with customers' engineering teams.

This is emphatically not a pure sales role or a pure engineering role: you need to be genuinely capable of both writing production-quality code and closing deals.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of solutions or pre-sales engineering for a technical product.
• CS degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong OO programming skills; comfortable pair-programming with customers.
• Proven ability to deliver training, live demos, and enablement content.
• Familiarity with AI-powered developer tools and LLM-based coding assistants.
• Fluency in German and English.
• Executive presence to lead product kickoffs with stakeholders.
• Motivation to move into a sales-oriented role.
• Commitment to long-term employment; early-stage startup experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with an Account Executive as the technical expert from discovery to close.
• Design and run 4-week technical pilots with customer teams.
• Present the product's vision to developers and executives.
• Deliver training, live demos, and enablement resources.
• Create and maintain technical collateral for enterprise customers.
• Relay customer feedback to Product and Engineering.
• Travel to customer sites or industry events as needed.
