Job summary

Checkly is hiring a Sales Engineer to empower developers and agents to own application reliability from pull request to post-mortem. You will learn Checkly and the Monitoring space deeply, support prospects during technical evaluations, and help customers with implementations and adoption.

You’ll contribute to documentation and playbooks while collaborating with Product and Engineering, all within an async-friendly, inclusive environment. Excellent English in a customer-facing role is essential.

Qualifications

• Some professional experience in a technical, customer-adjacent role.
• Strong technical skills to read, write, and debug code (Javascript/Node.js preferred).
• Ability to use AI tools to accelerate customer-facing work (Claude Code, Codex).
• Genuine interest in working directly with customers and explaining technical concepts clearly.
• Excellent spoken and written English skills.
• Autonomous and self-motivated in an async-work environment.

Responsibilities

• Learn Checkly and the Monitoring space deeply and help customers solve reliability problems.
• Support prospects through technical evaluations with the sales team.
• Assist existing customers with technical questions, implementations and adoption.
• Contribute to technical documentation and internal playbooks as you learn what works.
• Speak with customers directly and share learnings with Product and Engineering.
