Total Wine & More in New Jersey is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to drive sales and deliver outstanding customer service. You will support operations, payroll, inventory and training while ensuring compliance with alcohol regulations.

As the internal Assistant Manager, you will lead a customer-focused team, develop staff skills, and maintain a welcoming store atmosphere. Flexible scheduling and weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field preferred or equivalent experience.
• 1-3 years of work experience, 2+ years in a managerial or supervisory role in a retail setting.
• Experience leading, motivating, and developing a sales-focused team.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software.

Responsibilities

• Grow the company brand by delivering best-in-class service and building a sales and service culture.
• Assist in recruiting, training, and leading store team and ongoing development.
• Support day-to-day operations including payroll, inventory, merchandising and shrink.
• Ensure adherence to alcohol laws and maintain a safe, compliant store environment.
