Sales Director, Supplemental Health G&E - Cigna Healthcare - Remote

Role Summary

The Supplemental Health G&E National Sales Director (NSD) will be responsible for driving new business sales for Supplemental Health products within the Government and Education sectors in National Accounts (employers with 3,000+ eligible). This role involves developing and executing strategic sales plans, building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, and ensuring the delivery of tailored solutions that meet the unique needs of Government and Education clients.

Key Areas Of Expertise Include

  • Product solutions: Accidental Injury (AI), Critical Illness (CI), and Hospital Care (HC) products, including corresponding pricing and UW strategies
  • Enrollment solutions: Internal capabilities and external options
  • Administrative solutions: Billing and claim processes

Job Responsibilities

The NSD is responsible for proactive and consultative outreach to increase the institutional knowledge of Cigna Supplemental Health Solutions in the large case segment for Government & Education clients. The NSD partners with internal teams in distribution, marketing, product, compliance, underwriting, and others to deliver compelling solutions. The role also involves managing relationships with external partners like brokers, consultants, and enrollment firms.

More Specifically, The NSD Role Will

  • Develop and execute a strategy to grow product sales within the G&E sectors in National Accounts, focusing on clients over 3,000 lives, considering broker relationships, growth strategies, and market trends.
  • Present Cigna's offerings, value propositions, and differentiators to various audiences, conduct finalist meetings, negotiate with underwriting, and lead seminars.
  • Work closely with Cigna Healthcare team members to identify cross-sell opportunities within existing and new clients.
  • Collaborate with matrix partners to improve competitiveness and drive innovation, providing market feedback to various internal departments.
  • Be accountable for sales goals related to Supplemental Health products.

Incentive Compensation

The role is eligible for incentive compensation based on achieving sales goals, meeting expectations, managing territories effectively, executing strategies, and collaborating with partners.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 10+ years relevant experience preferred
  • Industry experience required
  • Proven track record of delivering results
  • Strong analytical, strategic, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Experience working with large national accounts and/or government procurement is preferred
