Sales Director, Supplemental Health G&E - Cigna Healthcare - Remote

Role Summary

The Supplemental Health G&E National Sales Director (NSD) will be responsible for driving new business sales for Supplemental Health products within the Government and Education sectors in National Accounts (employers with 3,000+ eligible). This role involves developing and executing strategic sales plans, building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, and ensuring the delivery of tailored solutions that meet the unique needs of Government and Education clients.

Key Areas Of Expertise Include
  • Product solutions: Accidental Injury (AI), Critical Illness (CI), and Hospital Care (HC) products, including pricing and UW strategies
  • Enrollment solutions: Internal capabilities and external options
  • Administrative solutions: Billing and claim processes
Job Responsibilities

The NSD is responsible for proactive outreach to increase institutional knowledge of Cigna Supplemental Health Solutions in the large case segment for Government & Education clients. Collaborates with internal teams (distribution, marketing, product, compliance, underwriting) to deliver solutions. Manages relationships with external partners including brokers, consultants, and enrollment firms.

Specific Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute distribution strategies to grow product sales within G&E sectors in National Accounts.
  • Partner with Cigna Healthcare teams to identify cross-sell opportunities and expand market presence.
  • Collaborate with matrix partners to improve offerings and drive innovation.
  • Achieve sales goals and manage territory effectively.
Incentive Compensation

The role is eligible for incentive pay based on sales achievements, collaboration, and strategic execution.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 10+ years relevant industry experience
  • Proven business results and strategic thinking skills
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership abilities
  • Experience with large national accounts and government procurement preferred
