NielsenIQ is a leading market research firm. Our Financial Services team provides alternative data products to hedge funds, mutual funds, and private equity firms through first party and third-party data sets.

NielsenIQ is looking for a Salesperson with 7+ years of experience selling data-driven research, products, or services to the buy-side investment community. Candidates must be passionate about capital markets, data, and technology. Candidates must also be very comfortable interacting with prospects over the phone and in person.

Responsibilities:
  1. Systematically call/email prospects to market NielsenIQ’s products.
  2. Manage a pipeline of new business from initial conversation to close of sale.
  3. Gather market intelligence and contribute to new product development to meet changing client needs.
  4. Provide internal reports to management as required.
  5. Participate in ongoing training/developmental programs.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 7+ years of experience selling data-driven research, products, or services to the buy-side investment community.
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Finance, Economics, or Marketing.
  • Understanding of financial markets and technology; knowledge of investment research products and current software technologies are a plus.
  • Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively. Manage the sales process through targeted phone calls, one-on-one meetings, and group presentations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • A high level of motivation, initiative, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team; a self-starter. Follow-through is essential.
  • Strong business development experience with the ability to sell into and represent the firm at all levels within a financial services organization.
  • Proven ability to maintain a high level of activity to reach aggressive sales goals and objectives.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, with focus and determination.

This role offers a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base range of $117,250.00 - $150,000.00. Actual salaries vary depending on experience, qualifications, skills, and location. The role may also include sales-based incentives or bonuses. Benefits include flexible work environment, comprehensive health insurance, parental leave, life insurance, education support, and more.
