The Opportunity

Are you passionate about driving growth in the Controlled Environment sector? We're looking for a dynamic leader to manage a regional team of Controlled Environment Specialists and drive sales across diverse markets.

You will work closely with the Vice President, Production Specialists to achieve revenue and margin goals. This involves guiding Controlled Environment Specialists, communicating with key suppliers, and collaborating with sales and support teams to establish growth plans across segments like pharma, medical device, diagnostic, food and beverage, electronic, and other industrial accounts. What we’re looking for:
  • Education: Biology or relevant science/technical background; knowledge of the life science industry preferred. Training or experience in clean room apparel and consumables is a plus.
  • Experience: 3-5 years in field sales, preferably in controlled environment, clean room, or industrial hygiene markets. 1-2 years in leadership or sales management preferred.
  • Tools: Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with C4C or Qlikview preferred.
  • Qualifications:
    • Knowledge of clean room space, cGMP, and regulatory environment.
    • Proven sales results in competitive environments.
    • Ability to develop technical sales teams.
    • Strong communication skills.
    • Experience with sales analysis and problem-solving.
    • Willingness to travel overnight.
    • Valid driver’s license required.

  • Guide teams in prospecting, customer acquisition, and sales pipeline management.
  • Analyze sales KPIs and address gaps.

  • Utilize resources to meet strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate on product launches and new product development.
  • Establish growth plans with regional directors.
  • Represent Avantor with strategic suppliers.
  • Undertake additional duties as needed.
Environmental Working Conditions & Physical Effort

Primarily work from home with extensive regional travel. Work is diversified, with deadlines and some physical activity such as walking, standing, and lifting (<10 lbs).
