Job summary

Palmer-Donavin offers a 12-18 month Sales Development Program designed to prepare graduates for a career in outside sales. Participants rotate through the Building Materials Headquarters in Grove City, OH and the Production Headquarters in Etna, OH, gaining exposure to sales, operations, and pricing while developing customer relationships.

Upon completion, participants may relocate to Palmer-Donavin markets with opportunities in outside sales.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or preferred in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills essential.
• Customer-focused mindset with the ability to build relationships.
• Self-motivated with willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of Palmer-Donavin's products, customers, markets, and sales processes through rotations.
• Support inside and outside sales activities, including customer interactions and ride-alongs.
• Assist with quotes, pricing inquiries, and order handling.
• Partner with Outside Sales Representatives to identify opportunities and build relationships.
• Participate in customer visits, product demonstrations, and field-based experiences.
• Learn strategic selling approaches and develop consultative relationships.
