Job description

About the role

You'll own a set of named accounts and prospect into them full time. That starts with research: what security tools an account runs, what's changed recently, where they're likely feeling pain. From there you write outreach specific enough that the person on the other end can tell you did the work.

You'll get real support doing this. AI-augmented research tools to speed up account prep, a coaching system that reviews your emails before they go out, Nooks for power dialing, and a messaging framework based on how enterprise security teams actually talk, not a generic sequence library. That said, none of it replaces the work. We're looking for someone hungry, who shows up wanting to outwork the rep at the next desk and treats a "no" as a reason to try a different angle, not a reason to slow down.

What you'll do
  • Learn the space. You'll pick up real fluency in SIEM modernization, detection engineering, and the data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, etc.) that security teams run on. You don't need a technical background coming in, but you'll need to keep up in a conversation with someone who has one.
  • Run outbound into named accounts. No spray and pray. You'll work a defined territory, research each account's environment and recent trigger events, and tailor your outreach accordingly.
  • Write emails people actually read. Every draft gets reviewed before it ships. You'll learn to lead with outcomes and write to a person instead of a title.
  • Build pipeline. Mix of outbound prospecting and inbound follow-up. You'll use intent data, CRM signals, and your own research to figure out which accounts to prioritize, and you'll know exactly where your numbers stand at any point in the quarter.
  • Get coached, and use it. Feedback here comes with the reasoning behind it, not just a correction. Reps who take this seriously tend to leave with sharper writing, positioning, and selling skills than most SDR seats teach.
Who does well here
  • Grit. You'll hear a lot of "not right now." The reps who do well treat that as information and keep working the account instead of taking it personally.
  • Self-starter. You'll own your territory and your account plans. If you need someone checking in on you daily, this isn't the right seat.
  • Coachable. Grit without coachability is just stubbornness. The best people on this team ask why, then apply the feedback the same day.
  • Curious about the tech. You don't need a security background. But if a prospect mentions a SIEM or detection engineering and you actually want to know what that means, you'll fit in well here.
  • Some sales experience. 1 to 2 years as an SDR, BDR, or similar customer-facing role, ideally at a growth-stage company or in cybersecurity or enterprise tech. You've made calls, run sequences, and know what a real pipeline number looks like.
Why Anvilogic

Anvilogic is the Agentic SecOps platform. It helps security teams onboard their data, search across it, deploy detections, and run investigations on the infrastructure they already have, without ripping anything out. We're backed by Point72 Ventures and Foundation Capital, and closed a $45M Series C.

We built our own SDR program instead of buying an off-the-shelf playbook: real voice standards, AI-augmented research, and coaching built into the day-to-day workflow. You come out having learned a methodology, not a script you'll forget in a year.

Most security teams you'll talk to are dealing with rising SIEM costs and detection coverage that hasn't kept up with their data. That's a real problem, and you'll be walking in with something that actually addresses it.

Anvilogic was founded in 2019 by security veterans and data scientists from Fortune 500 companies, and that practitioner mindset shows up on the SDR floor too. The manager running this team was an SDR here before being promoted into the role, so there's real growth opportunity for people who put in the work. Day to day, it's also a good group to work with: people who take the job seriously but don't take themselves too seriously.

Anvilogic is a Palo Alto-based cybersecurity company founded in 2019 by security veterans and data scientists from Fortune 500 companies. Our mission: help every SOC team detect threats at the level of the best, regardless of which data platform they run.
