Job summary

OpenKrill is seeking an energetic, early-career sales professional to join its Salt Lake City team. In this outbound-focused role, you will identify new client opportunities, qualify prospects by their hiring needs, and book qualified meetings for the sales team.

You'll work with CRMs, sales dialers, and AI-enabled tools to drive outreach, handle a high-volume of conversations, and contribute to growth at a fast-moving pre-seed startup.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing role with a high volume of daily conversations.
• Background in outbound sales (SDR/BDR/appointment setting) or related roles; startup buyers experience helpful.
• Comfort using CRMs, sales dialers, and outreach sequences; familiarity with AI tools in sales is a plus.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Join the sales team at a pre-seed AI recruiting technology startup and help introduce its recruiting services to startups and growing businesses. You will create new client opportunities through outbound outreach and book qualified meetings for the sales team.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Make outbound calls to founders, hiring leaders, and other prospective clients.
• Send emails and professional networking messages, and follow up using outreach sequences.
• Qualify prospects by learning about their hiring needs and book relevant sales meetings.
• Use prospect lists, CRM tools, sales dialers, and AI tools to organize and support outreach.
• Review outreach results and apply feedback to improve conversations and meeting outcomes.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Experience in a customer-facing role with a high volume of daily conversations, or early-career experience in customer-facing work.
• Background in outbound sales, such as SDR, BDR, appointment setting, inside sales, staffing sales, or a comparable role; experience with SMB, mid-market, or startup buyers is helpful.
• Comfort using CRMs, sales dialers, and outreach sequences; familiarity with AI tools or automation in sales workflows is a plus.
• Currently based in the United States and located in the Salt Lake City area or willing to relocate. This is an individual contributor role for someone early in their sales career.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Base salary is $60,000 to $70,000 annually, with $85,000 to $105,000 OTE (on-target earnings, base plus variable). Commission is uncapped. Visa sponsorship is not available.
