Job description

Marco is the modern group travel platform.

We’re redefining how companies plan and book offsites, retreats, and other forms of group travel that are part of a $400B+ global market within the $800B corporate travel industry.

Marco is the first platform built for corporate group travel. Teams can discover the best hotels, compare live proposals, and contract directly, all in one place. We help save our customers 20–30% and dozens of hours.

For companies that want more support, we also offer a white‑glove service where our team handles everything from agendas and activities to on‑site execution.

Our customers are high‑growth companies who care deeply about culture and community, and our platform helps them focus on what matters most—while we handle the complexity of group travel and events.

What We’re Looking For:

We’re seeking a highly motivated Founding Sales Development teammate to join our go‑to‑market team.

This is an opportunity to join a fast‑growing team with strong revenue traction, scaling quickly after the launch of our newest product, Instant Offsites.

You’ll be on the front lines of growth: running inbound demos, qualifying prospects, and keeping deals moving with thoughtful follow‑ups.

You’ll also help us open new doors through outbound campaigns, creative outreach, and demand generation experiments.

This is not a boiler‑room SDR role.

We want hungry, modern sellers who know how to use today’s tools (CRM, sequencing, automation, AI) to scale themselves, and who are excited about the chance to help build our growth playbook from scratch.

You’ll be reporting to our Head of Sales, and working closely with our CTO and CEO.

What You’ll Do:

  • Run and qualify inbound demos, leaving prospects with a strong first impression of Marco.
  • Deliver SQLs that consistently convert into opportunities for the AE team.
  • Maintain regular, professional touchpoints with prospects and hotel partners.

Demand Generation

  • Partner with leadership on outbound campaigns and creative outreach strategies.
  • Ramp up to 5 outbound meetings per week by Month 2–3.
  • Experiment with tools, messaging, and automation to drive pipeline growth.
  • Log activities and manage pipeline consistently in HubSpot.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with hotels, event operations, and product teams.
  • Embrace AI to scale prospecting, research, and client communication.

What You Have:

  • 3–5 years of experience in B2B sales (SDR, BDR, or hotel group sales).
  • Experience or interest in and ability to quickly learn the hospitality and group travel industry.
  • Proven ability to generate meetings and opportunities through outbound campaigns.
  • Comfortable running demos, asking discovery questions, and handling objections.
  • Strong communicator with natural rapport‑building skills.
  • Highly fluent in AI‑powered sales tech: HubSpot, sequencing tools, LinkedIn, Clay, and AI‑driven research.
  • Creative and scrappy—willing to pick up the phone, find a back door, and problem‑solve.
  • A builder mindset: excited to help design the SDR playbook, not just follow one.
  • Grit, resilience, and a hunger for growth—ready to move into AE within 12–18 months.

What You’ll Get:

  • Competitive base pay + uncapped commission.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Generous PTO and sick leave.
  • Quarterly/bi‑annual company retreats.
  • Work from anywhere (remote‑first culture).
  • Unlimited experiences & learning opportunities.
  • The chance to join a fast‑growing company at the intersection of travel, hospitality, and tech—helping shape a new category from the ground up.
Marco brings people together through extraordinary experiences.

Marco is the group travel platform trusted by 5,000+ companies to simplify planning and save 20-30% on every offsite. With just a few clicks, book rooms, workspaces, and meals in minutes. We combine best‑in‑class event experts with Marco AI to create extraordinary offsites, retreats, and on‑sites. Our customers include industry leaders like Meta, Bain, Netflix, Slack, Melio, Dropbox, and Figma. Backed by Slow Ventures and Flybridge, Marco is redefining how teams connect, collaborate, and celebrate.
