Overview

MOGEL is partnering with a growing consumer fintech and financial services organization which is building a new Sales Development team in Phoenix . We’re looking for a Sales Development Manager to lead and develop a team of Sales Development Representatives supporting two distinct business growth channels: Enterprise Partnerships and SMB/Affiliate Partnerships.

This is a high-impact opportunity for an experienced sales development leader who enjoys building teams, coaching talent, managing performance, and creating scalable processes. As one of the early leadership hires for a new Phoenix-based sales organization, you’ll have a meaningful role in shaping the team’s culture, operating rhythm, and approach to outbound sales.

You’ll lead a team of approximately six SDRs across two sales motions. One team focuses on targeted outreach to enterprise prospects such as financial institutions, lenders, fintechs, and other strategic businesses, while the other focuses on high-volume outreach to small businesses and potential affiliate partners.

The sales development function has already established an initial playbook and generated early traction through a pilot program. Your role will be to lead the team, optimize what’s working, establish strong performance standards, and build the foundation for future growth.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead, manage, and coach a team of approximately six SDRs across Enterprise and SMB/Affiliate Partnerships.
  • Establish a consistent cadence of 1:1 meetings, team huddles, coaching sessions, and performance reviews.
  • Set clear expectations and hold SDRs accountable for activity, meeting, and partner acquisition goals.
  • Monitor team performance across key metrics including calls, emails, LinkedIn activity, meetings booked, and partners onboarded.
  • Review and QA outbound calls and communications, providing actionable coaching on messaging, objection handling, discovery, and overall sales effectiveness.
  • Coach individual representatives to improve performance, develop strengths, and address performance gaps.
  • Continuously refine outbound scripts, messaging, cadences, targeting strategies, and sales development playbooks based on team and market results.
  • Partner closely with Enterprise Business Development leadership to ensure qualified opportunities are properly prepared and transitioned to the next stage of the sales process.
  • Partner with Affiliate and Partnerships leadership to align SDR outreach with target industries, partner qualification requirements, and onboarding processes.
  • Maintain strong CRM hygiene, reporting, and visibility into team activity, productivity, and pipeline generation.
  • Use performance data and market feedback to identify opportunities to improve conversion rates, productivity, and team effectiveness.
  • Own the hiring, onboarding, and training process for new SDRs as the organization grows.
  • Help establish scalable training programs, coaching frameworks, and performance standards for the Phoenix sales development organization.
  • Ensure SDRs consistently follow required partner qualification, vetting, and compliance procedures.
  • Bring insights from prospects and partners back to leadership to help inform sales strategy, product development, and go-to-market initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to expand team capacity, improve processes, and support the growth of the sales development function.
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience managing or supervising a team of SDRs, BDRs, inside sales representatives, or similar outbound sales professionals.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage performance against activity, meeting, pipeline, or partner acquisition goals.
  • Strong coaching skills and a track record of helping sales representatives improve their performance.
  • Experience working in a high-volume outbound sales environment.
  • Strong understanding of prospecting, cold outreach, qualification, objection handling, and sales development fundamentals.
  • Ability to use performance data and activity metrics to identify trends and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized and comfortable managing multiple priorities across different sales motions.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment where processes and teams are continuing to evolve.
  • Strong ownership mindset with the ability to balance hands‑on coaching with broader team leadership.
  • Collaborative approach and ability to work closely with Business Development, Partnerships, and other cross‑functional leaders.
  • Based in or willing to work from the Phoenix, Arizona office five days per week.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience leading SDR/BDR teams supporting both enterprise and high‑volume SMB sales motions.
  • Background in fintech, financial services, SaaS, technology, or partnership‑driven businesses.
  • Experience building or refining outbound sales playbooks, scripts, cadences, and coaching programs.
  • Experience hiring, onboarding, and developing early‑career sales professionals.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms, sales engagement tools, prospecting platforms, and AI‑powered sales tools.
  • Experience working with affiliate, channel, strategic, or business partnership programs.
What Makes This Opportunity Stand Out

Build on proven traction.

You won’t be starting from scratch. An initial outbound playbook and sales development approach have already been tested, giving you a foundation to refine and scale.

Make coaching a core part of your role.

Your impact will extend beyond individual sales activity. You’ll develop representatives, establish performance standards, and create a team environment where people can grow.

Work directly with business leaders.

You’ll collaborate closely with Enterprise Business Development and Affiliate & Partnerships leadership, giving you visibility into strategy as well as day‑to‑day execution.

Help build a scalable organization.

As the Phoenix team expands, you’ll have the opportunity to help shape hiring, onboarding, training, processes, and team structure.
