Job summary

HNI Corporation is seeking a Sales Development Associate to expand sales within designated US territories. The role primarily engages accounts remotely via phone, email, and web tools, while also traveling to key accounts and events as needed.

You will build internal relationships and create compelling sales collateral, quotes, and presentations to support growth. The position requires a bachelor's degree in a related field, familiarity with Salesforce and MS Office, and the ability to relocate

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Finance, Data Analytics, Business Administration, or related field required.
• Sales certificate or sales competition experience preferred.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience through internship or coursework preferred.
• 3.5 GPA or higher preferred.
• Ability to relocate within the US after successfully completing the program.
• Working knowledge of MS Office Suite, web tools, and CRM software like Salesforce.
• Strong and effective communicator, written and verbal.
• Ability to identify and resolve problems by being resourceful.
• Has working knowledge and/or familiarity with the organizational functions preferred.
• History of effectively working in a team environment and building professional relationships preferred.
• Demonstrated understanding of organizational mission and acts accordingly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Sales Development program learning agenda, building foundation in product programs and processes.
• Engage in networking opportunities across departments to build internal relationships.
• Create sales collateral and manage daily tasks, such as generating quotes and preparing submissions.
• Conduct business development activities to identify new sales opportunities and strengthen existing accounts.
• Promote products and tools to assigned accounts through remote channels, collaborating with team members.
• Utilize Salesforce to document, track, and deploy key account activities and manage a sales funnel.
• Travel to visit key accounts, participate in market blitzes and trade shows when required.
• Uncover market intelligence and provide feedback to management for market position improvements.
• Engage in projects and activities to support organizational success.
