Job summary

Tandem Hospitality Group is seeking a Sales and Catering Coordinator to answer sales office calls when staff are unavailable and to respond to inquiries promptly, professionally, and accurately.

The role requires organizing the sales office, maintaining a filing system for documents, and producing department reports. You will prepare proposal materials, coordinate contracted groups, and ensure follow-up on client needs.

Qualifications

• College degree with at least 1 year of hotel sales experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Significant attention to detail.
• Experience with hotel information systems preferred.

Job Description

The purpose of a Sales and Catering Coordinator is to answer sales office phones when sales staff is not available and respond to all sales inquiries accurately, timely and in a professional manner.

Job Responsibilities

• Politely and professionally answer the telephone and greet clients.
• Maintain an organized office environment
• Maintain an accurate and easy-to-use system for storing sales documents
• Create and distribute reports necessary for the department
• Develop professional sales presentation materials with guidance
• Respond to inquiries - inbound phone, written, advertising, tradeshows
• Coordination of all groups as contracted by the sales manager/DOS. Contact and provide appropriate follow-up on all signed/contracted business. Determine and coordinate all needs of the customer.
• Conceptualize, draft and send well-constructed and professional correspondence and proposals
• Host property tours, familiarizing customers and potential customers with property features, products and services
• Maintain positive inner-hotel relationships with all hotel departments to expedite efficient communication

Job Requirements

• Appropriate college degree, and one year of related experience in hotel sales preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Computer skills required – experience with hotel information systems preferred
