Job summary

Walker Automotive in Alexandria, LA is seeking energetic Sales Consultants to join our team. You will build relationships, help customers select vehicles, demonstrate features, and work toward turning inquiries into sales.

We provide continuous training, a strong bonus plan, and a fun culture with cook-outs and events. Previous dealership experience is not required, but customer service and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience or interest in building relationships with customers.
• Strong communication skills suitable for negotiating with customers.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Willingness to submit to a drug screen prior to employment.
• Positive attitude and energy to engage customers daily.
• Ability to stay energetic and focused in a fast-paced sales environment.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships and create customers for life; assist customers in selecting a vehicle by asking questions and listening.
• Be the vehicle expert on product offerings, packages, and technology.
• Demonstrate new/used vehicles in a high-quality, professional manner.
• Follow up with buyers to encourage referrals and repeat business.
• Learn to overcome objections and perform well in sales scenarios.
• Direct report to the Sales Manager regarding objectives and activity reviews.
• Bring a positive attitude and your best effort every day.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Build relationships & create customers for life. Assist them in selecting a vehicle by asking questions and listening carefully to their responses.
• Be the vehicle expert. Know the in's & the out's of product offerings, optional packages & latest technology
• Perform high-quality and professional demonstrations of new/used vehicles.
• Follow-up with buyers to ensure referral business.
• Learn to overcome objections and thrive in sales situations
• Direct report to the Sales Manager regarding objectives, planned activities, reviews, and analyses.
• Bring your 'A game' & a positive attitude with you every day.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous dealership experience is not required, but a plus!
• Comfortable with compensation based on commission sales
• Enthusiastic with high energy throughout the sales workday
• Outgoing with a friendly personality, especially while handling objections & negotiating pricing
• Have quality customer service skills
• Possess strong communication skills
• Must have a clean & valid driver's license
• Must be willing to submit to a drug screen prior to employment
