Job summary

Howard Air in Phoenix is seeking a passionate Sales Coach to elevate our brand. You will develop, train, and inspect the sales process across HVAC, service, and plumbing, partnering with leaders to ensure consistent execution and accountability.

The role requires 2+ years in home services sales and proven training or mentoring experience. Travel in the Phoenix market is required, with the opportunity for bonus compensation and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of residential HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or related home services experience.
• Demonstrated sales training, coaching, or mentoring experience.
• Strong understanding of residential sales processes and customer experience.
• Confident public speaker with excellent communication skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Willingness to travel throughout the Phoenix market.

Responsibilities

• Develop, standardize, and improve the sales process across HVAC Equipment, Service, and Plumbing.
• Lead classroom and field training, weekly role-play, objection handling, and skill development.
• Conduct regular ride-alongs with Comfort Advisors, technicians, and other customer-facing employees.
• Oversee sales apprentice training, role-play, ride-alongs, and graduation standards.
• Track and report key sales metrics including close rates, average tickets, opportunities, and trends.
• Partner with department managers on coaching plans, 1:1s, and performance improvement.
• Teach managers how to coach and develop their sales teams.
• Align call center with booking, lead quality, and the sales process.
• Ensure a single, consistent sales philosophy across departments.
• Identify performance gaps and translate data into improvements.
