Job summary

Mathis Home in Tulsa is seeking a Sales Associate to promote and sell showroom merchandise, working directly with customers and team members in a fast-paced sales floor.

The position is full-time with a two-week training period at $15 per hour. After training, pay is $15/hour or commission, whichever is greater, for the first 90 days; after that, compensation is straight commission.

Weekend work and varied shifts are required; a comprehensive benefits package and paid vacation are offered.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift merchandise up to 40 lbs to move furniture.
• Stand/walk for long periods during shifts.
• Sales experience preferred, not required.
• Excellent communication with customers and team members.

Description

PAY: $15/Hr. while in training (2 weeks). After training the pay will be $15/Hr. OR your commission, whichever is greater, for the first 90 days. After the 90 days is up, it will go to straight commission. Salary has no Cap!!

Schedule: Must be able to work weekends and varying shifts.

SALES ASSOCIATE REQUIREMENTS:

• Requires being reliable, responsible, and dependable and someone who thrives on a sales room floor!
• Sales Associate’s promote and sell merchandise displayed on show room floor, work directly with internal and external customers
• Further responsibilities and requirements will be discussed in the interview process

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS: Ability to lift merchandise of 40lbs to move furniture as part of the selling process; must be able to walk or stand for long periods of time; must be able to listen and respond to customer’s needs; ability to communicate effectively with team members; sales experience preferred, not required; positive attitude when working with internal and external customers; knowledge of employment and merchandise handling procedures.

Heavy Work: Lifting up to 40 lbs rarely, and/or up to 10 lbs occasionally to move objects.
