Job summary

Daikin Applied in Plymouth, MN, invites applications for a Sales Applications Engineer (Level II/III/IV) in a Hybrid role. You will provide technical expertise on HVAC products to sales reps, help select and apply solutions, and position products to win in the marketplace while collaborating with customers.

Responsibilities include responding to inquiries, understanding customer needs, preparing technical literature, conducting product training, and offering leadership within the marketing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of Sales Applications Engineering experience (level 3 requires 5+ years and level 4 requires 7+ years).
• HVAC experience (not required for Level 2).

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, accurate support to sales inquiries regarding special applications, systems or pricing.
• Communicate with customers to evaluate and understand their needs; assess processes to meet those needs.
• Process modification requests and other information not covered by published pricing.
• Keep informed on new products and competitive models.
• Analyze and propose modifications to current products and services to meet customer requirements.
• Prepare technical literature for internal and field application.
• Conduct product training to sales representatives and customers.
• Evaluate and propose improvements of product training processes.
• Provide leadership and direction within marketing applications organization.
