Job summary

Daikin Applied Americas in Plymouth, MN is seeking a Sales Applications Engineer (Level II, III or IV) to deliver technical expertise to the sales team and assist in selecting and applying HVAC products to meet specific field requirements.

You will collaborate with customers, position products effectively in the marketplace, and may provide leadership within the marketing applications organization based on experience. Hybrid work arrangement in Plymouth, MN is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years of Sales Applications Engineering experience (Level 3 requires 5+ years and Level 4 requires 7+ years).
• HVAC experience (not required for Level 2).

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, accurate support to sales representative inquiries regarding special applications, systems or pricing
• Communicate with customers to evaluate and understand their needs. Assess processes to meet those needs
• Process requests for modifications or options and other general information not covered by published pricing
• Keep informed on new products and competitive models in the marketplace
• Analyze and propose modifications to current products and services to meet customer requirements
• Prepare technical literature for internal and field application
• Conduct product training to sales representatives and customers
• Evaluate and propose improvements of product training processesProvide leadership and direction within marketing applications organization

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $74,200 - $188,700 in Minnesota. (dependent upon level); (plus bonus at levels 3 and 4). The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which these positions fall. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
