Job summary

Diversified Heat Transfer, a leading engineer and manufacturer of heat exchange equipment, is seeking a Sales Application Engineer to bridge engineering, sales, marketing, and operations. The role focuses on tailored product recommendations, technical proposals, and training delivery for reps, OEMs, and customers.

The ideal candidate will conduct bootcamps, develop sales tools with marketing, and travel up to 10% to support startups and trainings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in sales engineering, applications engineering, or technical customer support (HVAC or thermal systems preferred).
• Strong presentation skills and ability to lead training initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer needs and application data to recommend DHT products and system solutions.
• Prepare accurate technical proposals, cost estimates, submittals and project documentation.
• Provide pre- and post-sales technical support to customers, reps, and internal teams.
• Lead technical training sessions, bootcamps, and product education presentations for reps, OEMs, and sales staff.
• Prepare and revise sales design drawings
• Collaborate with marketing to create technical content, brochures, and sales tools
• Support cross-functional meetings to drive continuous improvement
• Assist with trade shows, webinars, and customer events
• Stay current on industry trends and standards
• Occasionally visit customer sites for startup, troubleshooting, and training
