Job summary

Hydro-Dyne Engineering, Inc. is seeking a qualified engineer to support the Senior Sales Engineer with equipment sizing, CAD drawing generation, and documentation. You will review customer specs, generate ICDs for bids, and help manage submittals with engineering and project teams.

The role involves CRM data entry, budgeting support, and ongoing liaison with RSMs and customers to ensure accurate, timely proposals.

Responsibilities

• Provide equipment drawings and interpret customer drawings for HDE equipment.
• Size equipment for performance and cost, based on constraints.
• Review customer specifications against core competencies.
• Generate Internal Compliance Document (ICD) to aid bidding.
• Assist in project handoffs to Project Management for accuracy.
• Assist in budgeting and bid documentation, including pricing and drawings.
• Enter projects into CRM for sizing, pricing and proposals.
• Coordinate submittal generation with engineering to start design phase.
• Maintain familiarity with company standard and optional equipment.
• Support Senior Sales Engineer and contribute to departmental initiatives.

Job description

Position Summary: Responsible for product knowledge, sizing of equipment, CAD drawings and document generation in support of the Senior Sales Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Equipment drawings – accurately provide drawings of equipment, read customer drawings and relate them to HDE equipment being provided


• Equipment Sizing – accurately size equipment for performance and manufacturing cost based on constraints and make assumptions where necessary


• Customer specification review with analyzation of what is within the company’s core competences and what is not


• Generation of the Internal Compliance Document (ICD) to aid in project bidding


• Review or generate (when necessary) project handoffs to Project Management for accuracy


• Assist in the generation of accurate budget and bid documentation such as proposals, bonds, pricing, requested hydraulic profiles and drawings


• Enter projects into Customer Resource Management (CRM) program for sizing, pricing and proposal development


• Request submittal generation by transferring job details to engineering to begin the project design phase


• Technical aptitude of company’s standard and optional equipment


• Manage controls and OEM parts for projects and be able to present information to RSMs Developing and cultivating relationships with the HDE RSM force and existing/new customers in our industry


• Assist in completing tasks assigned by the Senior Sales Engineer for completion of departmental initiatives
