Summary of Position:

Austin Subaru Sales and Leasing Consultants will learn and master auto sales within a value creation sales experience, focused on customer needs while also learning and mastering Subaru product knowledge. Consultants will then guide customers through the purchase experience in a customer-advocating environment.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

  1. Identify customer needs and buying motivations, match them with the correct vehicle, conduct product presentations, perform demonstration drives, and encourage purchase by overcoming obstacles and objections.
  2. Continuously improve vehicle and process knowledge and educate customers on products and procedures.
  3. Assist customers at initial contact, provide professional follow-up, and support after purchase.
  4. Track customer interactions through meticulous input into the database. Follow up via phone, email, and document all communication.
  5. Develop understanding of vehicle financing and confidently present financing options to customers.
  6. Maintain meticulous attention to detail in all paperwork, including purchase agreements, appraisal information, credit applications, and other documentation.
  7. Adhere strictly to all local, state, and federal reporting guidelines.

Employee Requirements:

  1. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
  2. Education: Prior sales experience is not required, but customer service experience is preferred.
  3. Skills/Aptitudes: Strong verbal and written communication, good listening skills, ability to follow instructions, punctuality, strong customer focus, and a growth mindset.
  4. Miscellaneous: Valid driver’s license for at least 1 year, clean driving record, and minimum age of 18.
  5. Growth mindset, emotional stability, team ability, and strong customer service focus.

Compensation:

  1. Commission-based.
  2. Paid training period at $20 per hour for up to 60 days.

Schedule:

  1. Alternating shifts: 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM, 10:30 AM - 6:00 PM, and 12:00 PM - 7:00 PM.
  2. Two days off per week, including Sunday and one weekday.
