Job description

As an Account Development Manager, you will grow new sales through assigned PPG Paints stores, focusing on increasing existing business year-over-year and developing new accounts.

You will report to the Regional Manager and work remotely/on the road based in the Waterloo and Mason City, IA areas.

Responsibilities

  1. Provide outstanding customer service to existing accounts by staying updated on current promotions, new products, and customer service practices to identify growth opportunities.
  2. Develop account planning strategies, identify sales opportunities, and understand existing business segments.
  3. Utilize Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools to manage accounts, maintain call logs and contact information, and generate reports.
  4. Collaborate with store managers and staff to meet customer needs.
  5. Facilitate customer quotes to meet margin targets aligned with PPG pricing strategies.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience with excellent customer service skills.
  • Experience with CRM software preferred; coatings industry experience is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel daily within the assigned territory; valid driver's license required.
