Summary of Position:

Austin Subaru Sales and Leasing Consultants will learn and master auto sales within a value-creation sales experience, focused on customer needs while also learning Subaru product knowledge. The consultant will guide customers through the purchase in a customer-advocating environment.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

  1. Identify customer needs and motivations, match them with the correct vehicle, conduct product presentations, perform demonstration drives, and encourage purchase while overcoming objections.
  2. Continuously improve vehicle and process knowledge and educate customers on products and procedures.
  3. Assist customers during initial contact, follow up professionally, and support post-purchase engagement.
  4. Accurately input customer information into the database and follow up via phone and email, documenting all communication.
  5. Develop understanding of vehicle financing options and present them confidently to customers.
  6. Maintain meticulous attention to detail in all paperwork, including purchase agreements, appraisal info, credit applications, and other documentation.
  7. Adhere strictly to all local, state, and federal reporting guidelines.

Employee Requirements:

  1. English/Spanish bilingualism is a plus.
  2. Prior sales experience is not mandatory; customer service experience is preferred.
  3. Strong verbal and written communication, active listening, ability to follow instructions, punctuality, customer focus, and a growth mindset are essential.
  4. Must have held a valid driver’s license for at least 1 year with a clean driving record.
  5. Must be at least 18 years old.
  6. Growth mindset, emotional stability, team ability, and customer service orientation are required.

Compensation:

  1. Commission-based.
  2. Paid training at $20 per hour for up to 60 days.

Schedule:

  1. Alternating shifts: 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM, 10:30 AM - 6:00 PM, and 12:00 PM - 7:00 PM.
  2. Two days off per week, including Sunday and one weekday.
