Sales and Business Development Intern / Contractor (US, Hourly)
- Build target lists. Research US general contractors, specialty contractors, and heavy civil firms on LinkedIn, ZoomInfo or Apollo, and industry directories. Identify the CFO, controller, and operations leaders at each.
- Run multichannel outreach. Send personalized emails and LinkedIn messages and make cold calls. Speak to real pain: late month end close, manual AP, no visibility into job profitability, ERP data nobody trusts.
- Qualify and book meetings. Ask good questions, listen for the problem behind the problem, and book discovery calls on the founder's calendar.
- Work inbound leads. Respond fast to websites, Google Ads, and webinar leads. Speed to lead is a competitive advantage here.
- Keep HubSpot clean. Log every touch, update deal stages, and track what messaging is working.
- Support events and content. Help promote webinars, lunch-and-learns, and LinkedIn content, then follow up with attendees within 48 hours.
- Feed back what you hear. Share weekly notes on objections, competitor mentions, and buyer language so we sharpen our pitch.
